Low Sugar Acai Bowl

Updated: Jan 23, 2019

Many Acai Bowls can be loaded with sugar. I've created this balanced nourishing adaptogenic low sugar Acai Bowl for you all to enjoy guilt free.

Adding cauliflower creates thickness and bulk to this smoothie bowl without extra sugar. Maca powder is a great adaptogenic for increasing energy and balancing hormones. Collagen powder is a great source of protein and is great for skin, nail and hair health. Acai is loaded with antioxidants neutralizing the damaging effects of free radicals. Acai berries also contain other trace minerals, including chromium, zinc, iron, copper, manganese, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus. This super food berry is also a great energy booster it is beneficial for skin health, cognitive functioning, stimulates healthy digestion and improves mental functioning.

Heres my go to Acai Bowl recipe. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

1/2 cup frozen berries

1/3 cup frozen cauliflower

1 tablespoon of cashew or almond butter

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp maca powder

1 scoop of collagen powder or vegan protein powder of choice

1/2 cup almond or coconut milk

Method

Run the frozen Açai Pack under hot water for a few seconds, break it into pieces and place in a high-speed blender with the remaining ingredients. Process until smooth (you want it fairly thick!) Pour the mixture into a bowl and sprinkle with your desired toppings. Enjoy straight away!
